Our central mission is to bring uplifting music performances to the home-bound, hospitalized and otherwise isolated or in need free of charge.
The feelings of relief and happiness are evident on the faces of all who receive a Concerts in Motion performance.
Concerts in Motion provides private or group concerts performed by professional musicians as well as musically talented youth of New York City.
The professional musicians who perform for Concerts in Motion are compensated for their time, talents and service.
We rely on donations made by generous individuals.
Currently we serve patients of the Mount Sinai Visiting Doctors Program, Barrier Free Living, Mary Manning Walsh Home for the Aged, The Esplanade Senior Residences, Kateri Residence, Music for Autism, JASA West Side Senior Center, Williams Residence, Atria Great Neck and the Veterans Administration Saint Albans Primary and Extended Care Facility.
The vibration created when live music is performed acts as a life force that is not just heard, but felt in the bodies of all who receive it.
Recipients are reminded that they can still experience the pleasure of their bodies, hearts and minds through the healing power of music.
Your donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
To donate by mail, send checks made out to Concerts in Motion, Inc
