About Concerts in Motion
Concerts in Motion was founded in 2009 with the mission of bringing uplifting musical performances free of charge to the homebound, hospitalized, and otherwise isolated or in need.
Music and human interaction makes a huge difference in an individual's life - especially the elderly, disabled, and terminally ill. To this need, Concerts in Motion's Community Series was created to provide a private or group concert by professional musicians as well as musically talented youth of our city. We are proud of the fact that we are touching and enhancing the lives of New York City's senior and disabled communities while instilling a sense of "giving back" in our youth.
We are now partnering with Amsterdam Nursing Home, Atria Great Neck, Barrier Free Living, Carnegie East Senior Residence, Carter Burden Luncheon Club, Cooper Square Residence, Covenant House, CV Starr Day Center, Davidson Senior Center, Dorot Friendly Visiting Program, Dorot's Lincoln House, Esplanade Senior Residence, Hamilton Madison House City Hall Senior Center, Hamilton Madison House South Bridge Towers, Heights and Hills, Jarvie Commonweal Service, JASA West Side Senior Center, Jewish Home Lifecare, Kateri Residence, Knickerbocker Village, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Mary Manning Walsh Home for the Aged, NY Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Penn South, Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, Mount Sinai Visiting Doctors Program, Music for Autism, Positively Third Street, PSS/WSFSSH Grandparent Apartments, Robert V.
